Independence and Non-Affiliation Declaration
Arests-KY.org is an independently operated, privately owned informational directory. It does not operate as a law enforcement agency, detention center, clerk of court office, or public records repository. The website operates completely separately from Kentucky state and county government bodies.
The website compiles public resources regarding Kentucky arrest records, detention facility directories, inmate lookups, and court docket information across the Commonwealth of Kentucky. References to official law enforcement bodies or judicial jurisdictions serve an informational purpose only and do not establish government authorization, official standing, or a formal relationship.
Notice of Independent Operation: Arests-KY.org is not an official government or correctional facility website. It does not manage active inmate rosters, issue custody releases, collect bail bonds, verify active warrants, or provide certified official criminal histories.
Purpose and Scope of Website Information
The website publishes general educational material concerning public records, county administrative procedures, agency directories, contact locations, and terminology. Its purpose is to assist visitors in navigating publicly available public resources.
Published content may be incomplete, delayed, or inaccurate due to electronic transmission latency, court filing backlogs, or clerical updates. The website does not represent that every record is cataloged or that published entries reflect the immediate, real-time status of any active matter.
An arrest or booking record does not establish guilt or prove criminal liability. Under United States and Kentucky law, every individual documented in public records is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a competent court of law.

Public Record Accuracy and Update Delays
Public records originate from official Kentucky state agencies, county detention facilities, circuit court clerk dockets, and local police departments. Each agency adheres to its own schedule for updating, filing, and correcting records.
Information shown on Arests-KY.org may differ from current official records due to:
- Electronic data synchronization latency between public servers and third-party feeds.
- Physical court dockets awaiting clerical entry into electronic systems.
- Subsequent case expungements, sealings, acquittals, or charge dismissals.
- Name similarities, common spelling errors, or incomplete identifiers.
Data Notice: Website entries do not confirm current legal standing, active custody, or verified criminal liability.
Official Record Verification
Individuals seeking certified or authoritative public records must obtain them directly from the relevant government custodian in the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
Recommended verification measures include:
- Visiting official Kentucky Court of Justice portals (kycourts.gov) for case dockets.
- Searching the Kentucky Department of Corrections KOOL portal (kool.corrections.ky.gov).
- Contacting the local county detention center or sheriff’s office directly.
- Requesting official or certified criminal background histories from the Kentucky State Police.
